I always love working with ABH; he's been a friend and kind of a role model of mine since I was a pup. I really like LSDj and Nintendo music/sounds, so I know I get those electronic/8bit kind of beats when we collaborate. He made the synth melodies a long time ago, and I made it my mission to get him to let me rap over it because of how much I liked it. I ended up making the drums and bass to it as well, though Anthony did the drums at the end of the song when the rapping stops. Yugen is a Japanese word that has to do with wanting to wander and never return, and I haven't yet found a word in English that projects the same feeling. Oh, and that Neil DeGrasse Tyson, man... I should feature him in every single song.
lyrics
Abiding by the plans like he couldn't die tomorrow
Death doesn't greet with sorrow
Kind of an understanding grin that speaks soft, like,
"You need some rest, my friend. How's the end?
Your bed is like stone and I can make that shit a gem."
He's got his life down to a science
Pockets swollen like eye sockets during his infected sinuses
Plus, the minuses are only loneliness, confinement
They've only taken enough for hesitation, but you'll still sign it
Your name's in ink for at least a couple blinks
Space shrinks to cubicles and so did all your real dreams
Life cycles in a circle but it should be like a sphere
I gained a little depth every time my steps returned me here
When three people talk sometimes I try to mute two
Not as psychic as I thought I was just psycho like the both of you
Humanity died yesterday
We're carrying the weight since robots are probably better for taking our place anyway
I hate most this picture you all have painted for me
I was asking for the skills to paint, not your interpretation!
Now I'm standing half a man in a world of machines that reshaped the land and the means
I'm a split atom that did my best to hold together
Exploding in your vision ultra v like the sun's weather
Shadow's chance is better but I'm hunting till forever
See, you're smart without the clever and I'm packing extra effort
Five years without much money and I'm happy, imagine that
My friends are kind of human and most human groups are rat packs
My world is in my backpack
Papers, pens and laptop
It's the only oasis that remains untainted by the backdrop

Romeda Records took music from slept on artists and did small batches of physical releases because they believed in the music. The first Justjoey was printed on & vinyl sold out thanks to them Justjoey
I was a freshman in high school when started listening to Illogic. Years after I started making music I opened up for him in San Francisco, and that led to producing an album for him. Here it is. Justjoey
There once lived a mysterious man who crafted beats with great bass lines, possibly a werewolf, definitely somewhere in England. We made a weird album together. I still like it. Justjoey
