Malnutrition

about

I felt like shit for a couple of years, physically and mentally. I was eating once a day, the meal was usually fast food, and it was a binge type of meal since it was cheap and the usually the one I ate all day. I was a typical latchkey kid living at my mom's house; she lived too far from where I went to school for me to walk home, and I usually didn't have extra money for the bus. I'd be at my one of my friend's till 6 or 7, usually, and if I didn't get to eat with their families I would just go buy something down the street. I was convinced that I was sick after two years of eating like this at least three or four nights a week, and after looking online I had almost every symptom of Malnutrition and/or cancer. I freaked myself out (maybe for no reason), but this song is really about that time when I had no fucking idea what was happening to me and wanted to stop being a sack of shit (you are what you eat).

lyrics

I can't tell if I'm ecstatic or outright depressed
Life is such a clever joke it had me laughing straight to death
Some design their limits and convince into a sickness and spend their time trying to find a way to make their mind fit inside
Goliath was too damn giant
Can't expect eye too eye that's like peace at a riot
So you know this: I'd wander rings around the locust
My blood is not the focus, though, they're scoping where the dope is
I trained myself to tread water
Floated long enough to watch a lot shit go shipwreck
Every inch of life will tell a story
Most people that I come across pretend not to ignore me but I like the truth and think that it's better raw
How well you understand can be perceived by your metaphors and similes
Riddles so the simple see
A middle peak
You never thought passed the little league
You'd like to meet Mike, I'd like to meet Neil
Tie suns together watch the universe congeal
I like to question what is real
If time is really money acid is a real steal
Keep thinking
Your understanding is vital
If you're frightened of your thoughts you're on your way to being psycho
Keep yourself crazy and bored of the routine that you put yourself through daily thinking life's about the money
The root of what's fucked up: everything
The Black and White way to sum it up
I'll trade life from the balcony
Send it off the rails in place of satire, sedatives, and all the music sales... well, they don't exist
I work to no avail
It's not impossible but unlikely dead men sing again
Most humans live in shells gone stale
If my species won't listen I'll send frequencies to whales
So meet me at the shore since my human friends don't want me being honest anymore
I'll bite my tongue and she'll bite her lips as if that's the way to get me worshipping her existence
And for a person that complains about my topics, you've never seen the world from another pair of optics
That's why it's blurry
To you the world's a flurry
I watch death from a distance observing those who still worry
Why try to exit in a hurry?
Rest only when you need it
It's a little too early for this...
It'd be interesting to live forever
Criticizing apes and grow to see that we were hardly better
Malnutrition: it's fucking with our insides
Why'd I check the symptom list?
Ignited the anxiety
Slight hypochondriac asking what is wrong with that
Took the medicine by asking friends where the bong is at
These days no one pays to listen
If this rate stays zero I'll have to pay the grave a visit
Left to our minds like a museum
Tell God I got his wallet, for me, next time you see him
